Problematic Per Diems


Per diems are daily monetary allowances, usually paid in cash, to health workers who travel or attendees at training events. In some grants, a significant portion is expended on per diems. The large number and frequency of per diem payments made means that fraud could result in lack of impact in our programs and significant financial losses.
