Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement

Outreach activities and stakeholder engagement are critical to delivering the OIG’s strategy and reinforcing its mandate. They are also central to building capacity for effective and impactful oversight across the development sector, as well as in implementer countries.

Supreme Audit Institutions and Anti-Corruption Agencies

The OIG progressively strengthens ties with Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), which are key actors in developing strong Public Financial Management systems in country, and it collaborates with SAIs in most of its country audits. The OIG also actively collaborates with anti-corruption stakeholders and partners.

Partnering with Oversight Offices

To refine its strategy and operational plans, the OIG regularly exchanges best practices with oversight functions in organizations with comparable mandates like the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), the European Investment Bank, and United Nations organizations.
